Sound Analysis Pro

To install SAP 1.2:

Please extract the content of this zip file into a temporary folder. Use the extract command or make sure otherwise

that folders and sub-folders are properly extracted. Then double click the file "sound analysis pro installer.exe" and

follow the instructions.

Known issue: the installer does not work properly on some 64 bit computers.

To install SAP2:

For complete installation or for 64bit Windows 7, use this zip file -- extract and run sap2_installer.exe

It will not generate program files\sap.exe, instead, you will have a folder called c:\sap2 with sap.exe that

you should be able to run

Alternatively:

1. Install SAP 1.2 or 1.4

2. Download SAPII.exe and SAP_recorder.exe. Place both files in c:\program files\Sound Analysis Pro\

3. Create an empty folder c:\mySQL\data\sap\

4. Now double clicking SAPII.exe should be functional, except for the recorder. SAP.exe (the old SAP) should work as usual.

If you want to use the SAP2 Recorder, continue as follows:

3. Download ztbirdcontrolpack.ocx and place it in c:\sap\

4. create a folder c:\sap\IO_Modules\

5. Download zt_DirectX.iom and zt_NIDAQ.iom and place them in c:\sap\IO_Modules\

6. open DOS prompt and type: regsvr32 ztbirdcontrolpack.ocx

Critical update of ocx to prevent recording "stuttering":

1. Download ztbirdcontrolpack.ocx and place it in c:\sap\

2. create a folder c:\sap\IO_Modules\

3. Download zt_DirectX.iom and zt_NIDAQ.iom and place them in c:\sap\IO_Modules\

4. open DOS prompt and type: regsvr32 ztbirdcontrolpack.ocx
