"Coherence and wave-particle duality"

Abstract
Wave-particle duality, the fact that the wave and particle properties of a quantum system are complementary, goes back to the early days of quantum mechanics.  The original discussions were qualitative, but, over the years, quantitative relations were developed.  Most recently, these have involved the resource theory of coherence.  A quantum resource theory specifies a resource, and a measure of how much of the resource a given quantum state possesses.  Entanglement is a standard example, but recently a resource theory for coherence was proposed.  The coherence measures that result can be used to derive wave-particle duality relations.  We discuss these and an approach to them in terms of games.
